Section 31 of the Sports Justice Act prohibits clubs from agreeing or paying compensation in violation of federal regulations, and also prohibits players from agreeing to do so, and if they do, the player involved will be disqualified for at least one month.
The events go back to the 2020 fiscal year, when Juventus agreed, due to the social and economic situation resulting from the Corona pandemic, to postpone the payments of some players, who were not included in the fiscal year for that year.

However, months later, the Public Prosecutor’s Office began investigating the agreement, because it was not a salary waiver, as the Italian club had initially reported, but a payment deferment for 3 of the 4 months through a private agreement, an illegal act.
According to the newspaper, Dybala’s interrogation is due to a compensation request submitted by the player’s lawyer to Juventus after the failure of renewal negotiations and the Argentine player’s move to Rome, his current team.
The compensation is equal to the material equivalent of the player’s 4-month salary during the year 2020, against the background of an agreement to postpone payment for the 2021 season through a special agreement, a case similar to that also known as the “secret message” of Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, which revealed an agreement between the club And the Portuguese player.
Investigators are seeking to find out if there were more agreements concluded privately and without the approval of the Italian Football Association.
