/ world today news/ The “Education” trade union at the KT “Support” declares that the requested money for education in the 2013 budget categorically does not correspond to the sum of 60 million, offered very persistently by Minister Simeon Dyankov.
The teachers’ unions and the employers’ organizations are demanding a 15% increase in the uniform expenditure standards, and for this alone an amount of over BGN 200 million is needed.
The “Education” union will defend by all legal means an increase in teachers’ salaries, because this is vital for the “impoverished” working in the “Education” sector. 60 million is grossly insufficient. It is clear that this money will not only go to salaries, but part of it will compensate for the increased maintenance of the system. It is indisputable that with only 60 million, many innovations started by MOMN and the unions will fail, and will become a recommendation to the 2014 budget,” the trade unionists report.
For the expected reforms in education by the Bulgarian society, the amount of only 60 million is not what was requested, it is not sufficient and will deepen the process of outflow from the profession of many good Bulgarian teachers.
