DXO announced three test results for the iPhone 15 Plus. Among them, the camera scored 145 points, ranking 13th globally with the iPhone 15. The screen scored 144 points, ranking 4th in the global high-end smartphone screen rankings. The sound component scored 141 points, the same score as the iPhone 15, ranking 17th in the global smartphone audio rankings.
DXO said that when the iPhone 15 Plus uses the HDR screen to browse content captured by the device, the image contrast is vivid and the brightness performance is good; whether it is photo shooting or video recording, the exposure and color performance are particularly good. In portrait mode, the device can accurately predict the depth of field and retain details. In bright environments, the color calculation and skin tone restoration of photos and videos are also natural and comfortable.
The slight disadvantage is that the zoom capability still lags behind the Pro series models; in low-light environments, some details are missing and there is more noise in photos and videos.
The screen readability is very good under most test conditions, and the colors of photos are more vivid compared to the previous generation iPhone series. There are almost no frame drops when playing videos, and motion blur is also well optimized. However, the 60Hz screen update rate is slightly less smooth when scrolling and playing games, and the mid-tone contrast in HDR10 videos is low. The overall tone in photos and videos is orange, which affects color calculation and skin tone presentation to a certain extent. .
