DWTS contestant JoJo Siwa to be first female celebrity paired with a dancer as ABC announces season 30 cast

JOJO Siwa makes history after being named as one of 15 stars to join the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars.

Jojo has revealed that she will team up with a professional dancer when she takes part in Season 30.

The YouTube star said in a video statement, “I’m so excited to be a part of Dancing With the Stars Season 30 this year.

“And dancing with a girl – I think that’s so cool. My puppy Buddy, are you excited boy? He’s so excited. It’s gonna be the best ever.

“I can’t wait to dance every week. I can’t wait to meet my partner. There are so many things that fascinate me! “

In an Instagram Live, she explained that she was not yet ready to label her sexual orientation but, added: “I always believed that my person was going to be my person and if that person was a great boy and if that person happened to be a great girl! “

Bubbly 18-year-old YouTube personality and 18-year-old Olympic gymnast Suni Lee were named Thursday as two of the contenders for the mirror ball next month.

The other 13 stars competing in the dance competition will be revealed on Good Morning America, with Jojo and Suni as guests, on September 8. Watch TV reports.

This won’t be Jojo’s first foray into the dance world as the teenager has starred in the lifelong unscripted series Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition as well as in Dance Moms.

DWTS RETURNS FOR SEASON 30

Suni has just come out of his victory at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The star of the United States team won a gold medal in the women’s gymnastics all-around competition, a silver medal in the women’s team competition and a bronze medal for her performance on uneven bars.

Tyra Banks will return to host DWTS in the Season 30 premiere on September 20.

Banks reprized the roles of Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews who were unexpectedly deleted from the series before season 29.

The TV personality and former model recently discussed the return of the series with a live studio audience amid COVID-19 restrictions.

She said Entertainment tonight: “We talked about it, from front to back,

« [But] probably not, if I really think about ultimate security. Maybe not yet. “

Returning to judge will be Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough and Carrie Ann Inaba.

Last week, Carrie Ann officially announced her release from The Talk after three seasons and a year of turmoil for the daytime show.

Back in April, Carrie Ann said she would take a leave to take care of his health and now revealed that the breakup has become permanent.

In an emotional series of Instagram videos, she told her 400,000 followers, “I am filled with immense gratitude for my journey on @thetalkcbs.

“It was a wonderful experience and an honor to be the moderator of The Talk, following in the footsteps of two women whom I respect so much. @juliechenmoonves and @thesaragilbert.

“Dreams come true if you work hard for them. I have made beautiful friendships for life, have had so many unforgettable experiences (get ready to share some memories in the next few days) and have learned so much from all the sincere and genuine discussions we have shared with you.

“My heart is full and happy. I am truly grateful for all that was, all that is (life is perfect) and all that will be. “

She concluded, “To all my friends and family at @thetalkcbs, I wish you a great season ahead!

“And I also look forward to my own future. Life is Beautiful. And the ends can be as beautiful as the beginnings. “

Dancing with the Stars Season 30 premieres September 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
