superstar Dwayne Johnson alias The Rock started wrestling and went on to become one of the world’s biggest movie stars. Later this year, the actor will make his highly anticipated DCEU debut by playing the title role in Black Adam.
Recently, Variety shared a behind-the-scenes look at some of the current star salaries ranging from the upcoming Mission: Impossiblemovies from Tom Cruise until Enola Holmes by Millie Bobby Brown. They also revealed Johnson’s paycheck for Black Adam.
Huge salary for The Rock
Variety reports that The Rock has asked for and will receive $22.5 million for the DCEU film. The actor “will receive millions more” for producing the film and he also earns an additional fee to promote the film on his social media.
According to Variety’s salary report, Johnson’s salary is the fifth highest this year, behind Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick ($100 miljoen), Will Smith in Emancipation ($35 million), Leonardo DiCaprio in Killers of the Flower Moon ($30 million) and Brad Pitt in the untitled Formula 1 drama ($30 million).
Other well-paid actors on the list include Will Ferrell, Chris Hemsworth and Vin Diesel.
