Friday night the apartment of Julie Lejeun’s mother was burgled. The burglars searched, among other things, the bedroom where the woman kept the last mementos to her daughter.
“We went on vacation on Thursday evening,” the mother told local media. “We heard about the burglary from a neighbor on Friday.”

They immediately went home and found that the two objects were gone. The necklace engraved with Julie’s name and date of birth (November 29, 1987) and a medallion with a photo of their daughter at the time of her disappearance.

After discovering the missing items, Julie’s father posted a message on Facebook. “If anyone has any information … This is all we have left of Julie. Thanks in advance.”

This happened to Julie
Julie Lejeune was kidnapped with her friend Mélissa Russo on June 24, 1995 in Grâce-Hollogne. The girls were 8 years old at the time. Only over a year later, on August 17, 1996, their bodies were found in the garden of Marc Dutroux ‘wife Michelle Martin.
