Two years later, the photo was circulated on Facebook to her friends, after which the bullying started. She was bullied online and at school. According to prosecutors in Canada, C. was the one who harassed Todd online. During the trial, the officer read out several messages that the Dutchman would have sent to Todd.

Serving a sentence in the Netherlands
The jury’s verdict comes after a weeks-long trial. Aydin C., who was already convicted in the Netherlands in 2018 for digital stalking and extortion, pleaded ‘not guilty’ in the case.
It is not yet known what punishment C. will be imposed. It is clear that he will serve it in the Netherlands.
