Liverpool reached the final of the League Cup on Wednesday. With three Dutchmen in the starting line-up, coach Jürgen Klopp’s team drew 1-1 at Fulham, which was enough after the 2-1 win in the first leg.

Luis Díaz helped the visitors from Liverpool take the lead early in the match. After the break, Issa Diop scored the equalizer, after which no more goals were scored in London.

Three Dutchmen had a starting place at Liverpool: captain Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo. At Fulham, Kenny Tete was allowed to come on in the final phase.

Because Liverpool won the first leg 2-1, coach Klopp’s team reached the final. Gakpo played a leading role two weeks ago by scoring the winning goal.

Chelsea is the opponent in the final battle. Coach Mauricio Pochettino’s team won 6-1 against Middlesbrough on Tuesday, which was more than enough after the 1-0 defeat in the first leg.
