Many people are still missing in Spain due to the natural disaster in Valencia. One of the people who has not yet been found is the Dutch Silvana Lochi. She lives in Turis, just inland from Valencia. Her friend Emma Anderson is looking for her, as she has not been able to contact her since Tuesday evening, reports The Telegraph.
The 53-year-old Dutch woman did not return from work earlier this week. “Sil was supposed to drive back from Puçol on Tuesday after work at 5pm and then come and have coffee with me. But she didn’t go for coffee anymore,” Emma tells the newspaper.
Silvana is Anderson’s neighbor and friend. The Dutch woman moved to Spain from Limburg a year and a half ago.
Stay optimistic
Emma tries to be optimistic. So she assumes that Silvana is stuck in a car somewhere, in the hospital or that she is staying at someone’s home where there is no reception. According to Anderson, it may also be true that she was injured and therefore unable to communicate.
“But we fear the worst. Sil would never leave her animals alone. She would walk back for hours to be with them and care for them. And she would be the -always telling us,” said Emma.
