According to the judiciary, she was sexually and financially exploited in a horrible manner. During an interim court hearing on this case, her lawyer announced that she is now struggling with depressive complaints.
Samantha de Jong was doing better for a while, but according to her lawyer Sébas Diekstra, her situation has deteriorated again. She struggles with depressive symptoms. “She faces significant challenges, compounded by a complex life.”
According to the judiciary, De Jong was sexually and criminally exploited. According to the suspicion, nude photos and videos were taken of her and posted on sex sites, among other things. She was also allegedly beaten, if she did not sleep, was drugged and asked to help pay off the suspects’ debts. If that wasn’t enough, her ID, driver’s license, dog, telephone and money were also taken. If she reported it to the police, she would be murdered.

Anthony J. from Hagen is the main suspect in the exploitation case, but co-suspect Nancy J. is also said to have played a major role. She is said to be responsible, among other things, for drugging Samantha and for making a video in which she was clearly under the influence.
Remarkably, this woman (38), with a strong addiction, is also seen as a victim. She too was exploited. At an earlier hearing, her lawyer said that they had so many customers in one day that she experienced pain when urinating. She was also used for thefts and defrauding customers. Her lawyer asked on Tuesday to place Nancy in an addiction clinic in The Hague. In this clinic, Nancy J. could continue her detoxification and work towards a return to society. Anthony J.’s lawyer emphasized that he is too quickly looked at as a perpetrator, because he facilitated prostitution, and that drug-using women are seen too much as victims.
For Samantha, according to her lawyer, the events have had a “profound impact on her mental well-being” and although things are not going well at the moment, she wants to make positive changes and realizes that the tide must turn. “She wants to share her story herself regarding the substantive handling of the criminal case.”
