Dutch Princess Laurentien steps down as chair of foundation for the benefit of parents after rumors of misconduct

So the princess Laurentien gives the an ongoing rumor mill about complaints of inappropriate behavior within the base. The newspaper Algemeen Dagblad published the story in early August and wrote “inside we talked about so-called illegal behavior”.

In a letter to the board of directors, Laurentien writes that she decided last weekend to resign as chairman with immediate effect.

In the last few months there have been jokes about the foundation’s way of helping parents suffering from benefits. This turned out to be much more expensive than the government’s own compensation scheme. In addition, there were reports of inappropriate behavior by the princess towards officials of the Ministry of Finance.
