The Dutch national team won the Nations League match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday evening. In Eindhoven, the team of national coach Ronald Koeman won 5-2.
The Netherlands had a good start and were leading within fifteen minutes thanks to a header from Joshua Zirkzee. Out of nowhere, Bosnia and Herzegovina equalized through Ermedin Demirovic. The Dutch restored order just before half-time with a goal from Tijjani Reijnders, who had just finished the most beautiful attack of the match with a shot on the crossbar.
In the second half, Cody Gakpo made it 3-1 on a pass from former FC Twente talent Reijnders. Edin Dzeko then made it exciting again after a mistake by Matthijs de Ligt, but just before time substitute Wout Weghorst made it 4-2. He was able to finish easily after the Bosnian goalkeeper punched a shot from Quinten Timber in front of his feet. The final chord was for Xavi Simons, who determined the final score at 5-2 in injury time.
