Dutch motorcycle cop in mortal danger after head-on collision with Porsche Abroad

The accident happened shortly after 9 p.m. on De Stropersstraat (N403). A 24-year-old driver of a Porsche coming from the direction of Stekene wanted to turn left into the driveway of the catering business The Lakehouse, which is known in Belgium. The driver from Sint-Gillis-Waas noticed a Dutch police officer on a motorcycle too late for reasons that are still unclear, Nieuwsblad reports.

Just across the border with the Netherlands, the agent was hit head-on and thrown from his motorcycle. He hit a parked car. The victim suffered serious injuries and was in life-threatening condition Friday night.

Emergency services arrived en masse. There has been a lot of havoc on the road. The bumper of the white Porsche is completely shattered. The Dutch agent is said to have supported the Belgian police during a cross-border action. The accident site is only a few kilometers from the border.
