Farthest star ever seen: 12.9 billion light-years away
The Hubble Space Telescope has discovered a star 12.9 billion light-years away from Earth. It is the farthest star ever observed, the NASA (United States) and ESA (Europe) space agency reported Wednesday . The old record dates back to 2018, when Hubble hit a star at 9 billion light.
