Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Raul Fernandez win Moto2 Dutch GP 2021 at the Assen Circuit, Sunday (27/6), by beating his teammate at KTM, Remy Gardner.
Raul was left in fourth place after losing to Gardner and the duo Marc VdS, Augusto Fernandez and Sam Lowes.
Raul’s revival moment occurred when the race left seven laps. The Spaniard overtook Augusto to lead the Dutch GP Moto2 race.
Raul then walked away from the pursuit of Augusto in the last three laps. Gardner finally confirmed a 1-2 finish for KTM in the Dutch Moto2 after overtaking Augusto on the last lap.
Raul eventually finished with a 1.066-second lead over Gardner. This result makes the 2021 Moto2 world title competition between the two KTM drivers even more interesting.
Bad luck was obtained by Pertamina Mandalika racer and host, Bo Bendsneyder. The Dutch-Indonesian racer was hit by two long lap penalties for making a jump start.
Bendsneyder finally only managed to finish in 15th position, a position worse than his teammate, Tom Luthi.
