What is certain is that the livestock should be reduced by 30 percent and that a number of farms will have to close. The government would set aside 750 million euros to compensate for this. Remaining companies should therefore take measures to reduce emissions, including through technology and less intensive livestock farming or relocating activities, but in any case with fewer animals.
