Dutch Climate Activists Block A12 Central Highway, Thousands Detained

In the Netherlands, more than 10 thousand climate activists blocked the A12 central highway. The number of forgivers detained by the police has increased to almost three thousand.

A mass rally began in The Hague on September 9. Demonstrators came out to demand an end to government subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. On September 10, police detained more than 500 more people.
