The Dutch band IOS, also known as Is Ook Schitterend, is back. Singer Joost Marsman’s group is releasing new music after fourteen years and will also be performing again.
IOS recently reunited for a podcast by NPO Radio 2 DJ Bart Arens. “That was the push we needed,” the band wrote in a post on social media.
IOS, which was founded in 1996 at a Groningen student association, broke through in 1997 with the hit Past perfect tense. More success followed in 2005 and 2006 with singles like How it feels, Always Someone in Out of the Shadows.
The group split up in 2009 when Marsman wanted to do other things.
