Dutch arrested with 3.4 tons of cocaine

In the night from Thursday to Friday, a group of Dutch men was arrested in Antwerp for allegedly involved in extracting 3.4 tons of cocaine from a load of charcoal. This happened at terminal 1742 in the port of Antwerp.

The container had been brought to Antwerp on a ship from Paraguay. The five men, aged between 18 and 26, were arrested on the spot by the Shipping Police and transferred to the investigating judge in Dendermonde. She put it on longer.

Friday will be decided on the further arrest of the fifth suspect. The investigation is continuing, says the public prosecutor’s office.
