The New York Rangers on Monday awarded a one-year contract to former Montreal Canadiens goaltender Dustin Tokarski.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Tokarski, 28, did not play in the National Hockey League last season. He played with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Philadelphia Flyers’ school in the American League. The Saskatchewan native posted a 20-8-2 record, a 2.65 goals against average and a .915 save rate.
The 6-foot-205-lb athlete has played 34 career regular-season games – 26 with the Habs – on the Bettman Tour, maintaining a 10-12-5 record, an average of 2.84 and a rate of. 904.
