Twenty years ago, the model was improved Game Boye with the nickname Advance a dream gift for most children of that time. The legendary console has sold more than twenty million units, and its name has long become synonymous with portable consoles in general. His dominance was ended with the arrival of the Nintendo DS, which offered higher performance and perfect backward compatibility.
The authors cite the games Metroid and Cave Story as the main source of inspiration.

The last commercially released GBA game in the West is Samurai Deeper Kyo from 2008, after which only purely enthusiastic projects were created for it (see for example this demake last year’s hit Disco Elysium). But that will not be true soon.
A pair of Dutch developers, acting on the Internet simply as Rik and Jeremy, succeeded on Kickstarter with the game Goodboy Galaxy, which is to be an honor to the immortal console. Although a version for PC and Nintendo Switch is also planned, the main reason why the game raised almost two million crowns during the first day is undoubtedly that it will also be available in the form of original cartridges for GBA.
Given the capabilities of today’s modern games, the graphics look a bit funny, but retro is just cool today. After all, after the massive success of the Czechs Bulánků we were certainly not surprised by the success of this project.
There are still more than 29 days left until the end of the campaign, so it is quite possible that the final amount will multiply several times.
