Dusseldorf | dts, red | NRW Environment and Transport Minister Oliver Krischer (Greens) promises a timely decision on the requested capacity expansion at Düsseldorf Airport.
“There will be a decision soon. The highly complex subject was already dealt with in the ministry by three of my predecessors and will hopefully be completed soon. Now we are no longer talking about years, but about weeks,” he told the “Rheinische Post” (Monday).
It is not just about climate protection, but also about noise pollution and the economic interests of the region. At the same time, he emphasized that the state had little scope for decision-making: “The state government has the role of the approval authority. The scope is very limited.”
