In Düsseldorf, an 84-year-old motorist drove into a crowd and injured several people. As reported by the Düsseldorf police, the man went off the road with his car onto Königsallee, a popular shopping street, on Tuesday evening, crashed into several vehicles and then rammed into a group of pedestrians.
Two people were seriously injured in the crash and four people were slightly injured. According to police, the man’s SUV initially touched several cars and electric scooters before driving into a crowd and finally stopping at the side of the road. Two people were seriously injured in the accident.

Another pedestrian and the driver of one of the vehicles involved sustained minor injuries. The driver of the car and his passenger were also slightly injured. Police said they were investigating the cause of the crash. An intentional act excludes them for the time being. (afp)
