Three days after the Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich, Paris St. Germain has dozed off to victory in the league with a last-minute goal.
At Stade Brest, the French champions won 2-1 (1-1) on Saturday evening and temporarily extended their lead over Olympique Marseille to eleven points. Marseille host Racing Strasbourg on Sunday evening.
With Kylian Mbappé and world footballer Lionel Messi in the storm line, PSG started dominantly and took the lead through Carlos Soler (37th), who was in the starting eleven. But the courageous hosts hit back shortly before the break through Franck Honorat (43rd).
The frustration of the favorites was great: After a kick from behind, Mbappe (86th) received his fifth yellow card, so the PSG record scorer will be missing against Stade Rennes next weekend. But shortly before the end, the 24-year-old followed up with the right answer – after a pass from Messi, he rounded the opposing keeper and pushed in the winning goal.
