Dusan Vlahovic’s future was dotted. Arriving at Juventus in January 2022 after an excellent start to the season at Fiorentina, the Serbian international immediately adapted to the Bianconeri’s game. However, Juve’s new number 9’s start to the season was mostly plagued by injuries and Juve have found themselves struggling this season. Enough for several European clubs to position themselves on him, but the decision has already been taken.
No departure in January for Dusan Vlahovic
Thus, as revealed by the Turin newspaper Tuttosport, Dusan Vlahovic is not expected to leave Juventus this winter. In fact, several European clubs, especially in the Premier League, would have set their sights on the Juventus forward. Arsenal would notably be at the top of the list, following Gabriel Jesus’ injury. Chelsea would also be there, despite the ongoing practices of Christopher Nkunku and David Datro Fofana.
The Serbian forward, however, would have only one idea in mind: to return to the field. Currently recovering from the groin pain contracted shortly before the World Cup, Dusan Vlahovic would absolutely not consider leaving Juventus in January 2023. He would like to focus on his rehabilitation, to better attack the season finale among the black and whites. What to reassure more than a supporter.
Are Juventus okay with selling him?
A few days ago the Italian press was not so categorical. If Dusan Vlahovic wants to stay at Juve, things could very well change on the side of the Turin club. In fact, with the arrival of the new management, a change of coach could take place on the Juventus bench. And Dusan Vlahovic’s status could very well change.
However, Juventus would not want to sell him at any price in case of departure. In this dossier a transfer of around 80 million euros would therefore be mentioned, which is roughly the amount paid by Juve to take him from Fiorentina. A dossier that will probably be followed closely in the coming weeks.
