During the Rainy Season, Dozens of Fogging Points in Probolinggo District Have Been Fogging

KRAKSAAN, Radar Bromo – Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a threat of disease during the rainy season. A total of 35 locations were fogged because there were significant findings of dengue fever.

Dengue fever is one of the diseases to watch out for when it rains. The reason is that it can develop quickly if it is not anticipated. This causes the trend of case finding to increase.

In the last three months, the Probolinggo District Health Office found a significant trend in cases. Among them in September there were 2 cases of dengue fever, October 12 cases, and November there were 10 cases. Meanwhile, in December as of Monday (20/12) there were 5 case findings. For this reason, it is necessary to take immediate action and handling. So that the disease does not spread and the patient can be cured.

“This disease comes every year, especially during the rainy season. There needs to be prevention and treatment efforts so that the disease can be controlled. One of them is fogging,” said Dewi Vironica, Head of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases at the Probolinggo District Health Office.

He said that so far 40 locations have been fogged. Among them are several locations in the Districts of Pakuniran, Paiton, Kraksaan, Gading, Krejengan, Pajarakan, Dringu, Banyuanyar, Sumberasih, Wonomerto, and Lumbang.

Dewi explained that the fogging area had met several criteria. So it must be done immediately. Among them were found other DHF patients in the location of the patient at least 20 houses around the patient. There are fever sufferers for no apparent reason more than 3 people and it was found that there were mosquito larvae.
