in 2023 September 8-17 European Heritage Days will be held in Lithuania. The purpose of the event is to familiarize the public with the rich cultural heritage of Lithuania. This year’s theme is “Living Heritage: A Laboratory of Excellence” to highlight heritage creators and a laboratory of excellence in the process of creating and preserving cultural heritage sites.
September 15 At 5 p.m., the Klaipėda Ethnoculture Center invites Klaipėda city guides to the lecture “Delmons – a symbol of the Klaipėda region”. The lecture will be given by Dr. Elena Matulionienė – coordinator of the folk art studio of the Klaipėda Ethnoculture Center, national costume expert. On the day of the event, the Delmons and Audimos galleries will be open to the citizens and guests of the city, where visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the unique expositions and chat with the artisans who protect the craft traditions of this region.
September 15 6 p.m. The tradition of national dances will be revived in the old town of Klaipėda! The Klaipėda Ethnoculture Center invites everyone to get involved in the project “The whole of Lithuania dances”. This event will not only revive the melodies of traditional dance, but will also bring gifts to every participant: smiles, a great time and a sense of unity. We invite families, friends and like-minded people to join us in this extraordinary event, which aims to unite us through dance, song and good cheer, spreading our cultural heritage.
