Last day, the State Police (VP) drew up two administrative violation protocols on Latvian roads for aggressive driving and four – for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

As the agency LETA learned in the Public Relations Department of the VP, one aggressive driver was caught in the Riga region, but the other – in Kurzeme. In Kurzeme, Riga and Zemgale regions, one driver each was caught, but in the Riga region, one driver who was at the wheel under the influence of drugs was also stopped.
During the day, 201 protocols on exceeding the permitted driving speed were drawn up, 77 of them in the Riga region. In total, the LP has drawn up 107 protocols on various violations of the Road Traffic Regulations in 24 hours, according to the data collected by the LP.
