There are three types of vitamins that you should consume during a pandemic: vitamin C, vitamin D3, and zinc. These three vitamins are highly recommended in the treatment of Covid-19.
According to Dr. Tities, vitamin C has many benefits, including being an antioxidant, influencing cellular immunity, to accelerating wound healing and repairing body cells.
Meanwhile, in Covid-19 patients, giving vitamin C supplements can reduce inflammation, oxidative stress, sepsis, and increase immunity. The dose of vitamin C requirement for adults per day reaches 500-1,000 mg.
Then vitamin D, serves to increase the body’s immunity, prevent various chronic diseases, and optimize the work of cells in the body.
In Covid-19 patients, vitamin D supplements work to prevent cytokine storms and bradykinin storms and speed up recovery. Consumption of vitamin D is about 40-60 mg per day.
While Zinc is an iron that has activity as an antiviral to stabilize cell membranes to inhibit the entry of viruses and virus replication. The dose of zinc is 3-16 mg a day
