In the week of Oerol, Cornald Maas makes an alternative form of his program Opium. At the music and theater festival on Terschelling, which will only be getting a digital edition this year due to the corona crisis, the presenter will talk to various theater makers and performing artists.
In the daily show, Maas interviews artists who have a connection with the annual festival, such as Jeangu Macrooy, Paulien Cornelisse and Typhoon.
He asks them, among other things, how they spend their time now and whether the situation might bring them new inspiration. The interviewees will also give a performance.
Harrie Jekkers, Ruben Terlou and Splinter Chabot have a regular role in the program. The comedian sings life from a beautiful place on the island, Terlou photographs his favorite bird and program maker and writer Chabot talks to Terschelling people who are very fond of Oerol.
Opium on Oerol can be seen at AVROTROS on NPO2 from Monday 15 June at 7.10 pm.
