A woman from Great Britain pushed her boyfriend off the balcony of a hotel in Turkey during an argument, writes the Daily Mail. The man died of his injuries at the scene.
According to the hotel staff, the couple consumed a lot of alcohol a couple of hours before the incident. 31-year-old Mary Kayleigh was so drunk that hotel staff had to take her to her room. Her boyfriend, 21-year-old Rice, then went down to the first-floor bar, but was refused service due to his high level of intoxication.
When the man returned to the room, an argument broke out between him and the woman, which ended with Rice falling from the balcony. Witnesses reported that shortly before that, the two were loudly explaining their relationship. After police checked the couple’s room, blood was found on the walls.
According to Mary, Rice accidentally injured himself, which is why there was blood on the walls. The woman later admitted that she had indeed had a fight with Rice when she found out he had cheated on her, but she later retracted her statement. In addition, Mary reported that the friend had suicidal thoughts.
However, Turkish investigators believe that Mary pushed her boyfriend off the balcony out of jealousy and are demanding a life sentence for her.
