After a video went viral where a teacher from the Faculty of Psychology of the Juárez University of the State of Durango, yells at his students for not turning on the camera, it was decided Separate her from her position for the remainder of the semester without pay, to carry out the investigation.
In the video, the teacher is upset because some students did not have the camera on during the video call, she even mentions that they are lacking in her class.
“They fix their camera problems or they will continue to have a fault with me, on the third fault I will withdraw them from my subject.”
Even one student tried to explain the situation, however the teacher was reluctant to listen.
“My internet is bad, why can’t I see you? Sit down, kid! Turn off your microphone, I’m not interested, you need it!”
University will investigate the case
Julio Lozoya, Secretary General of the Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango, said that this decision was made to know the case in depth and to know what were the reasons why the professor rebuked some of the students for not attending the class.
Stated that Meetings have already been held with the students to find out how things happened during the distance class.
He stated that these types of situations will not be allowed because they affect not only the UJED, but also the society to which they provide a service.
Teacher apologizes
After the events that occurred, the teacher apologized through her social networks, even acknowledging that they were not the forms.
“I fully accept my responsibility and guilt for not treating them properly, as I am all human and I make mistakes, I hope that the young people involved understand the stress that this learning modality is causing me and accept my heartfelt apologies, I lack empathy and calm” .
