Gómez Palacio, Durango (OEM).- The Department of Health of the State of Durango (SSD), through Health Jurisdiction No. 2 in Gómez Palacio, trusts that the Sputnik vaccine will be accepted by the population since the biological Abdala generated resistance from people and was not well accepted during its application.
Luis Fernando Olvera Martínez, head of the JSII in La Laguna de Durango, announced that given the arrival of the Sputnik vaccine that is already in the state capital, in the coming days they will be determining the distribution methodology to the different municipalities and health centers.
Therefore, there is a good expectation that the general public accepts its application without any problem, since uncertainty had been generated about its efficiency and, above all, that it would not cause damage to Abdala’s health.
“We were informed from Durango that the Sputnik vaccine is going to arrive, we already have the ultra-freezers here to get them, it was just going to arrive in Durango and it will be the distribution for the four Jurisdictions; From there it arrives with us and then we can assign them to the 12 municipalities that correspond to us as JSII,” he added.
He said that it will be the Polytechnic University of Gómez Palacio since there is a ditch with the ultra-storage freezers, “so that everything is correct as such, the guidelines will come to tell us to which sector of the population it will be applied and which one it will be. the dynamics,” he said.
He recalled that to date there are still minimal doses of Abdala, adding that they tried to apply it simultaneously with the influenza vaccine.
“Some people accepted it, other people did not accept it but the 1,200 doses of the Abdala vaccine were finished; Let’s hope it is better accepted by people, we are going to get that type of vaccine,” she explained.
“We still have a vaccine for Influenza, we must remember that our goal is 53 thousand and we have applied 25 thousand doses with 53 percent progress, this vaccine is applied until the month of March and for this we have a vaccine as such,” he added.
