Thanks to the Federation Educating a Salvadoran (FESA), soccer players Diego and Sebastián Luna were recipients of two sports and university scholarships in the United States. The duo will have the opportunity to play for the Golden Eagles university team in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). One of the objectives of FESA is to comprehensively educate young people through human, academic and sports training.
The FESA organized a viewing for the sub-17 sub-19 categories of the foundation’s Football Academy, which was attended by a Scout from John Brown University in the USA and thanks to this, the Luna brothers, who play as a center forward and midfielder, with more than 3 years of training at the institution, left good impressions on the university.
“Both players are graduates of Los Castaños Alternative School and were selected to participate in a second viewing, this time on the university campus, located in Arkansas; As a result of the good performance of both, they obtained a university sports scholarship, thanks to which they will be trained in business administration and international business careers,” the foundation said. The athletes expressed their excitement, after obtaining an important responsibility and becoming an example to others, and added that they want to show that with discipline you can go very far. They also mentioned that each sacrifice had a reward and they hope to demonstrate the level they have.
The duo emphasized the effort they made during the process in which they had to strive to achieve the goal, and it was not easy to keep the training at the same time as the study, something with a lot of sacrifice and despite the fatigue on some occasions, they had reward, and they are eager to show that they have talent.
“This type of news is important because it sends a message to young people that as they make an effort to study and train their favorite sport, they have the opportunity to achieve higher education with a sports scholarship that guarantees their professional growth in the world.” future,” FESA stressed.
FESA thanked all the institutions that make these “success” stories possible, because it is important to motivate youth to choose the path of sports and education to change their lives and that of their families, in addition to empowering their academic and sporting development.
