Victim of his own success! The Dunkirk hospital center announced in a press release posted on Facebook, postponing all its appointments for the first injection of the Covid-19 vaccine to next March.
“Following the national lack of doses to meet all the appointments set, we are obliged to postpone (…) all the appointments for the first injection in March 2021 in order to guarantee the second injection for all those who have already been vaccinated for the first time “announces the hospital center.
A second dose possible
People with their two postponed appointments will be contacted by email, sms or by phone, specifies the hospital.
No worry, however, for patients waiting for the second dose: “anyone who has already received a first injection of vaccine will have the second dose administered according to the appointment set.”
As a reminder, the vaccination centers of Nord-Pas-de-Calais had been stormed, no time slot was available before the beginning of March. Last week, the ARS of Hauts-de-France asked the vaccination centers not to make new appointments and to reschedule up to 37% of appointments.
