Duncan Laurence and Ilse DeLange perform at replacement Eurovision show | NOW

Both Duncan Laurence and his mentor Ilse DeLange will perform on May 16 Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light, the show that will be recorded as a replacement for the Eurovision final.

Eurovision winner Laurence, who will release his first EP on May 13, will release his new single Someone Else then perform live for the first time.

DeLange sings a cover of with the German singer Michael Schulte Ein Bisschen Frieden, the winning Eurovision song of 1982, sung at the time by singer Nicole. Schulte achieved fourth place in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 with You Let Me Walk Alone. The singer sings a duet on her new album with DeLange, who became second in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest as part of The Common Linnets. Changes, which will be released on May 15.

In addition to Laurence and DeLange, former winners Mans Zelmerlöw (Sweden, 2015) and Marija Serifovic (Serbia, 2007) will also perform. Israeli Netta, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018, will perform an acoustic version of a new song. Johnny Logan sings his winning song What’s Another Year (Ireland, 1980) together with fans.

Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light can be seen on NPO1 on Saturday 16 May at 9 p.m. The show is presented in an empty studio by Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley and Jan Smit. Nikkie de Jager provides online updates during the program.

The show was launched after the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam was canceled due to the corona crisis.
