There will also be a policeman on horseback, a fire engine, a police motorcycle, a crate train, craft activities, a KRESZ track, a Disney show and the Ismerős Arcok band at this year’s Dunakesz Mayajíl. Families are welcome at Katonadomb from 10 a.m. on May 1.
The Pest County Police and Disaster Prevention Day welcomes families with a cavalcade of programs on this year’s May Day, on Katonadomb. The law enforcement officers and firefighters are preparing with a dog show, smoke tent, crane car, fire and police car, police motorcycle, weapon display, police car, KRESZ track and activities, but even mounted policemen will visit the event as a “spectacle”. The favorites are also coming: folk playground, garden railway, box railway, amusement park and the Kresz Mária Foundation with opportunities to develop handicrafts.
The stage programs start in the morning with children’s shows, then the local associations present their choreographies, and finally the New Frequencies and Ismerős Arcok bands close the day.
May 1. Dunakeszin does not exist without the morning musical wake-up call of the concert brass. They make two rounds of the city, starting at 7:00 a.m. and 9:32 a.m. in front of the VOKE József Attila Community Center.

Access to the location:
- In view of the expected high attendance, we will start a festival bus for the event, starting at 8:40 a.m. with departures every 45 minutes from the final station. The bus schedule valid for May can be found in the attached appendix. Due to the works on Kagyló utca, the bus stops on Fő út, at the Liget utca stop, please take this few minutes’ walk into account when arriving and leaving.
- For visitors arriving by car, the grassy area at the end of Újszőlő street, on the other side of the bicycle path, will be open for parking. Colleagues will help divert traffic.
- The Katonadomb parking lots will accommodate the displayed emergency vehicles on May 1st, so the street will be closed to car traffic.
