| Duleep Trophy: the southern region takes over

Salem: In the cricket semifinal of the Duleep Trophy, the southern region resisted the northern region. Scoring: 1st inning south 630 declared, 2nd inning 157 for 1. 1st inning north 207.

Mayank Agarwal (53) and Ravi Teja (19) are in the crease area when they stop playing on the third day. The opening of Malayalee Rohan Kunnummal (77 including two sixes and nine four in 72 balls) beat well.

Ravi Srinivasan Sai Kishore who took seven wickets broke the North Zone. Malaysian pacer Basil Thambi could not take a wicket. Rohan (143 of 225 balls with a six and 16 four), captain Hanuma Vihari (134 of 255 balls with two sixes and 10 fours) and wicketkeeper Ricky Bhu (103 of 170 balls with two sixes and 10 fours) scored centuries in the South Region first innings. The semi-final between the West Region and the Central Region continues to be exciting.

Scoring: 1st inning West 257, 2nd inning 371. 1st inning Middle 128, 2nd inning 33 for two.

With one day and eight wickets remaining, the central region still has to overcome another 468 runs.
