This Friday, December 30, the day before his 34th birthday, musician Miks Dukurs will give a concert in Riga, in the cozy premises of the club “One One”.
Mick Dukurs is not a frequent guest in Riga with concerts intended for a wider audience, so the choice of venue is all the more interesting: electronic music events usually rock the dance floor in “OneOne” venues, but are held also live music concerts. According to Mick, this place is very grateful for different genres, and the musician has “fixed his eyes” on these spaces for a long time. “He has always had a great desire to welcome his holiday on stage with a concert, so it is very likely that with this event we will start another beautiful tradition,” thought the organizers of the concert.
Miks Dukurs quite regularly pleases the audience with new songs and energetic concerts, but mostly outside Riga. So he ended this year’s season with two sold-out concerts in Cēsis and Liepāja, which are two important geographical points for the musician, while the third is Riga (Miks once lived in the vicinity of Hospitalăului Street) – the city where songs like “Tu mani cel”, “Closer” were written even closer”, “Spiritual Priest”, “I’m Falling For You “, “Katru varamu” etc. The Riga concert will feature both the “golden repertoire” and the freshest compositions, such as “Sarunasim parunut”, which is currently conquering radio stations, and is also anchored at the top of the “Music Bank”. The audience can also be treated to a preview. Mika will be joined on stage by guitarist Eriks Upenieks, Edijs Dukurs on bass, as usual, and Raitis Aukšmuksts on drums.
