Duki in Endeavor Sub20 Experience
“You are the future,” Duki said at the start and raised a standing ovation at the Movistar Arena.
The audience, some 10,000 secondary school students, were the recipients of the singer’s advice that closed the Endeavor Sub20 Experience, the event that took place today at the Movistar Arena.
“I didn’t want the battles [por las competencias de rap]”I wanted to make music, but I understood that this circuit was going to make people follow me, reach them,” he said about the Fifth Step, the rap competition with which he began to develop his career.
“Today I came in civilian clothes, I’m not here to sing. I want to talk to you about the future, about tools. Keep in mind that sometimes networks make us want to live the lives of others. Enjoy being who you are. You are worth a lot, infinite. They are all necessary for this society, for the world. In a few years, reality may be changing for many people. Love each other with your flaws and virtues,” he asked.
And he closed the idea with a message: “The life of famous people is not the best in the world. He who shows so much is not happy in his privacy. Money moves the world, but it doesn’t give you happiness. It is equally incredible to be a doctor, have a restaurant or be a singer. Inside we are all the same.”
Mauro Ezequiel Lombardo Quiroga, better known as Duki or “El Duko”, artist and rapper, also told how he was “copying” business structures from other countries to develop his art and also the business behind it.
Duki was interviewed by Julio Leiva
“You’re going to be 18 years old, you’re going to go out into the world and you’re going to get 500,000 bucks, but we all have to learn. You have to take advantage of the time, enjoy. Always learn. Learning is not bad at all, it is very good. Learning is an enjoyment, it is knowing what to do, create, solve. Whatever it is, the possibilities are endless, but the processes are long. Don’t look at the tip of the Himalayas because you will never climb it, you have to take small steps and enjoy. “Success is ephemeral,” said the musician who was interviewed by Julio Leiva.
“I spent my adolescence wondering what to do. It happens to all of us. The important thing is to be happy and have goals. Guys, you have your whole life ahead of you,” she concluded.
He also spoke to young people who may have problems with depression or other psychologically related illnesses. “Depression stagnates you and leaves you still. We all need things that free us and mobilize us. For me that is music. Family is very important. It’s good to be able to talk, luckily today there is much more talk about all that. We have to talk about it, there are friends. I say this especially to men that sometimes it is more difficult for us. You have to express yourself and ask for help,” she recommended.
In that context he spoke about the importance of friendship and working as a team. “Individualism does not exist, we live in a collective. “Anything depends on other people, on people who help us,” he said.
- “We Argentines are a mixture of a thousand countries. Original tribes, those who came. A hodgepodge. We have a unique mix. Food! Also the language: we have our dialect and accent, which comes from all that combination. We have all the landscapes, the best athletes. We are at the end of the world, but we have a giant country with beautiful people. We are far away and we have to fight twice as hard, or triple as hard. And that marks us, differentiates us. “We want to take on the world.”
- “With globalization distances are shortened. Anyone can learn online and have the same basis to compete with anyone. We have the same base, the same tools. “Everything came together.”
- Regarding his next presentation at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, in Spain, he assured that: “You arrive and see the kids there wearing Di María’s shirt and saying ‘what are you doing, guy’. There is a cultural bridge, a union. “They want to learn our culture, and that’s really crazy: they want to be like us, they put on Messi.”
- “My fear is losing hunger. What’s after the Bernabéu? The answer to that is that there are a thousand things I haven’t done yet. What I look at is what achievements leave me.”
