UK international schools group, Duke Education, has acquired the Institute of Education, a private secondary school located on Leeson Street in Dublin city. The school, which was founded in 1969, offers tuition and exam preparation courses in a total of 28 Leaving Cert subjects and has over 7,000 full and part-time students, as well as 200 staff. The terms of the acquisition mean that the school’s name, operating model and existing teaching arrangements will remain unchanged, and Yvonne O’Toole will continue in her role as principal. The deal marks Duke Education’s entry into the Irish market and the group is committed to maintaining the existing quality and ethos of the school.
