LAHORE, iNews.id – Ridiculous and tragic events occur in a hospital Lahore City, Punjab, Pakistan. A patient Woman dies after undergoing surgery by ex security hospital disguised as doctor.
Lahore Police said the victim, Shameema Begum (80), died on Sunday (6/6/2021), after a fake doctor named Muhammad Waheed Butt performed back surgery on a patient at Mayo Hospital Lahore.
The family paid for Begum’s operation, although the treatment took place at a government hospital. Begum was even visited twice by Butt to her home to treat wounds.
However, Begum was bleeding and her illness got so bad that she was taken to the hospital. Long story short, Begum had to undergo surgery. However, the patient’s condition did not improve.
The family only found out who Butt really was after the operation which was later reported to the police. Butt was immediately arrested to account for his actions.
Meanwhile, Begum’s body underwent an autopsy to determine whether the cause of death was complications or surgery errors.
Lahore Police spokesman Ali Safdar said Begum was not Butt’s only victim. In the past, he had also treated patients, although not as bad as Begum.
