Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – One of the male passengers with the initials HS (29 years) on an airline flight Wings Air an emergency exit window suddenly opens.
This action was carried out when the departure process was complete and all Wings Air passengers with flight code IW-1248 serving the route from Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra (KNO) to Binaka Airport in Gunung Sitoli, North Sumatra (GNS) had in the aircraft cabin.
Corporate Communications Strategic of Wings Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro said, previously flight IW-1248 had been well prepared and had a scheduled departure at 08.45 WIB. This PK-WFO registration ATR 72-500 aircraft, carrying four crew members and 44 adult passengers and 1 (one) child.
“Due to these conditions, all passengers are lowered and directed back to the airport departure waiting room. Currently, ATR 72-500 PK-WFO registration is being checked on the aircraft,” said Danang in a release on Sunday (3/7/2021).
In accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP), the flight crew informs ground service officers (ground handling) and security officers (aviation security) to immediately take care of HS.
Wings Air has submitted the HS to the relevant parties along with the Airport Authority (otband) for further inspection and processing.
“This incident resulted in a delay in the departure of Wings Air flight IW-1248, which was 55 minutes. Flight IW-1248 had departed again at 09.40 WIB using another Wings Air aircraft, namely ATR 72-600 PK-WHM registration and landed in Gunung Sitoli at 10:45 a.m. WIB, “said Danang.
He explained that all Wings Air aircraft operations prioritize safety and security aspects (safety first).
Strictly speaking, Wings Air requires all passengers not to take any action that could interfere with security and comfort while on the ground and in the air. Actions taken by unruly disruptive passengers will receive strict sanctions and have legal consequences.
