Duh! Partial electricity from Jakarta-Bekasi goes out, this is PLN’s response

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Social media was enlivened by news of blackouts in parts of Jakarta and Bekasi by PT PLN (Persero) this Saturday morning (27/3/2021) when the world was Earth Hour movement around the world. But this blackout has nothing to do with Earth Hour.

Tularji, a resident of Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, also complained about a blackout in his area which disrupted his activities. Meanwhile, Tommy, a resident of Harapan Baru Bekasi, West Java, also complained about the same thing after the electricity in the area where he lived went out.

On social media, complaints have come from a number of Twitter users, for example Fikri Rachmad Ardi in a tweet on his Twitter.


Responding to this, Dita Artsana, PLH Senior Manager General Affairs PLN UID Jakarta Raya, conveyed that PLN apologized to customers in parts of Jakarta and Bekasi who were affected due to disruptions on the transmission side of the Bekasi Priok Sub System at 08.06 WIB.

“PLN moves quickly to turn on the disturbed electricity so that in less than 15 minutes, electricity in Dukuh Atas, Ancol, Angke, and Kemayoran has returned to normal. Gradually, PLN also normalizes other affected areas,” he said when contacted by CNBC Indonesia, This Saturday (27/3/2021).

The areas that were not normal until 09.35 WIB were: Gambir Baru, Harapan Indah, Cowshed, Kelapa Gading, Pegangsaan, Milling, Plumpang, Pulogadung, Pulomas, and Bekasi.
