Action not commendable by midfielder Porto, Marko Grujic, when faced Juventus. Player on loan from Liverpool it pretended to be in pain in order to buy time.
Grujic stepped off the bench when Porto traveled to Juventus headquarters at Allianz Stadium, Wednesday (10/3/2021) early morning WIB, in the second leg of the last 16 Champions League. The 24-year-old came on to replace Mateus Uribe at the end of the second half.
Juventus winning 2-1 up to 2×45 minutes of the match. This score makes the aggregate of the two teams 3-3 as strong, because Porto previously won 2-1 in the first leg.
As a result, the match continued to the round extra time. Porto scored his second goal through Sergio Oliveira in the 115th minute. Juventus replied two minutes later with a goal from Adrien Rabiot.
In the 119th minute, Grujic collapsed on the pitch following pressure from Rabiot near the spot corner kick. The referee gave a free kick to Porto for the incident.
Grujic looks in pain by covering his face with his hands. Seconds later, television cameras showed the Serbian player peering briefly at the referee, then covering his face again.
The Grujic video was caught peeking viral on social media, after the match which Juventus won 3-2. Not a few fans have accused Grujic of diving by pretending to be sick in order to buy time.
Not only that, there are fans who liken it Marko Grujic with what is done Sergio Busquets in 2010. The Barcelona midfielder was caught doing embarrassing diving when his team met Inter Milan in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final.
Busquets fell and groaned in pain after Thiago Motta’s face was hit. The Spaniard appeared to cover his face, before a few moments later a camera was caught peeking at the referee.
