Duet Emma Heesters and Marco Borsato will not be released for the time being

When Emma is asked about working with Marco, she clearly doesn’t feel comfortable. “Yes, I recorded a song with him, but it was made much bigger than it actually was,” she says. “So there is a number, but what is done with it, we don’t know yet.” When presenter Siebrand Niessen asks if the song is still out, Emma answers that this will not happen for the time being. “Now that is not the case. Let’s celebrate Christmas first,” says Heesters referring to her new Christmas single, which is out.

Last week Emma told RTL Boulevard that she was so proud of the collaboration with the hit singer. “I think every artist dreams of a song with Marco,” she said at the time.

The news about the single is the next in an already tumultuous week for Marco. Rumors have been circulating for some time about the singer’s possible transgressive behavior towards young candidates from The voice of Holland on The voice kids. His management said last week that the singer would come out with a statement “at any time that suits him”. On Tuesday, he canceled his previously rescheduled club tour altogether.
