Patch 20.0 includes a major Dueling update. On March 25, with the release of the patch, the casual and heroic Duel rankings will be reset and the set of cards that you can use to build your initial 15-card deck will be updated as follows:
And, as if this were not enough, you can find letters from Forged in the Barrens on the lists offered between Dueling games before March 30, the release date of the expansion.

In Duels 20.0, we will not allow the use of multiple cards to build the decks and we will also exclude some cards from the lists. As you may have already noticed, Self Sharpening Sword was never allowed in this game mode. In Patch 20.0, this card will be available for deck building again, will appear in the Group Learning list, and will also be a Reveal card.

General Dueling Updates
We’ve made some updates to Duels, in addition to the balance changes we already mentioned. You will notice that we updated how the game flows: we modified the supply of passive and active treasures, adjusted the Health values, and now we offer card lists at new intervals during a Duel round. Additionally, we have added spell schools to many feature treasures.
- Nature: Guardian Insight, Wonderful Mycelium, Lethal Weapons I, Chaotic Storm.
- Shadows: Fractured Spirits, Shadow Word: Void, Allies Acquired, Basic Demonology.
- Vile: Ritual of Summoning, Gift of the Legion, Chains of Domination
- Holy: Men of Arms, Humble Blessings
- Fire: Elementary Learning
- Arcane: Infinite Arcane
We’ve also added six new card lists that will appear between games:
- Small but powerful (Hunter)
- Sharp Thorns (Demon Hunter)
- Hero Power (Mage)
- Divine Duty (Priest)
- Hero Power (Neutral)
- The Barrens Chat (Neutral)
Finally, we have updated the criteria to unlock Characteristic Treasures and Hero Powers. Duplicate cards in your collection are now counted and it is no longer necessary to have unique cards.
