The classic circuit in Imola had problems for the riders throughout Friday and Saturday. We saw accidents and red flags in all the trainings. Qualification began in a similar vein. In the first part, Júki Cunoda broke down, who after a skid hit the back of his car into a barrier.

In addition to accidents, riders also have problems with track limits in the fifteenth and especially in the ninth turn. In the first part, Pérez, Gasly or Latifi lost their time. The latter, however, was ultimately the surprise of the first part. Both Williams advanced to Q2 and Latifi defeated Russell for the first time in his career – albeit temporarily, as the British pilot set a faster time in Q2.

In the second part, Vettel or Gasly lost their time. Mercedes, Verstappen and also both Williams drivers rode in the middle mix. Hamilton, Bottas and Verstappen will start the race from the top ten. Norris got to the top of the standings in Q2 on soft, but in the end Pérez overcame them.

Surprisingly, Carlos Sainz did not advance to the third part, so he did not use a relatively decent form of Ferrari in Imola.

In the third part, there was a battle for hundreds at the head. Lewis Hamilton took the lead. Verstappen lost 0.091 s after the first attempt.

In second attempts, Lando Norris came in second, but his time was erased. Sergio Pérez finished second. Verstappen will start from the second row next to Leclerc.
