Drivers were invited to bypass the accident site through Mežvijai and Grivers along the roads Rauna-Taurene-Abrupe (V299) and Lembis-Drusti-Vecpiebalga (V235).

Shortly before midnight, “Latvijas valsts ceļi” informed that the traffic had been partially restored and driving was allowed in one lane.
