Due to storms: TGV trains from Zurich to Paris cancelled

The SBB will exchange tickets for Wednesday or refund the money. In France itself, rail traffic between Paris Gare de Lyon and Dijon as well as Mâcon-Loché is interrupted, as the SBB announced on Wednesday. In addition to train cancellations, they expect delays and diversions.

Traffic on the South-East route, which connects Paris with Marseille and Montpellier, among others, is currently interrupted, said the French state railway company SNCF. Between Paris and Dijon, trees were lying on the tracks and a TGV crashed into them.

According to SNCF, there were no injuries, but around 80,000 passengers were affected by delays and train cancellations. How long the disruption would last was not known in the afternoon. However, the railway reported progress in the clean-up work. The disruption should be resolved soon, it said.

Last week, arson attacks on key points of the French high-speed rail network severely disrupted rail traffic shortly before the start of the Olympic Games. It was not known on Wednesday who was behind the attacks.
